Proxy Evaluator Letter of Evaluation
To whom it may concern
This letter is to confirm that on the ____ day of _________________, 20____, I evaluated the canine
team of _____________________________ (handler) and ______________________ (canine) for their
ability, as a team, to detect ____________________________ (target odor).
The canine handler was informed of the evaluation requirements and was familiar with all areas of
ability being evaluated. The handler was evaluated on their ability to properly work and interpret their
canine, their ability to perform a thorough search and overall control. Evaluation score sheets, with
comments, are attached to this document.
The canine was evaluated for willingness to work, interest in odor, accuracy and overall behavior.
It is my opinion, based on my experience, qualifications and the evidence provided that the
aforementioned team does meet or exceed current NACPI standards of efficiency in the field of
